A whole range of agricultural products was (and is) investigated concerning their characteristics.

In all cases, complete life cycle comparisons are executed. Depending on the project, different production sites (e.g. Germany, Southwest Germany) and different applications (lubrication, textiles, packaging, etc.) have been under investigation. Some of the projects carried out:

• Biodegradable loose-fill chips made of corn, wheat, and potato starch versus polystyrene as a raw material
• Identification of advantageous product lines for industrial use under regional aspects and special attention towards environmentally friendly cultivation methods

• Integrated assessment of the preparation of biological raw material for civil engineering
