Interpretation of land use

In addition to the necessity to include land use in LCAs and the methodological aspects, we also investigated the options in the interpretation of land use in agriculture.

Modelling land use

IFEU developed a methodology of how to assess land use in collaboration with the Büro für angewandte Waldökologie, Duvensee (Bureau for applied forest ecology). 
Case studies have been applied for agriculture, forestry, and mining. Basic studies as well as applications can be found, among others, in the following publication:
